Blueberry Streusel Recipe

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp double-acting baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sugar


Instructions:

1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Beat in egg.
3. Sift dry ingredients together and add, alternately with buttermilk, to butter mixture.
4. Pour into well-greased 9 x 13 pan.
5. Top with blueberries.
6. Mix sugar, flour, and spices.
7. Cut butter into tablespoons and blend into dry ingredients with a pastry blender.
8. Mixture should be crumbly.
9. Sprinkle over blueberries.
10. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
