Spiced Apricot Chutney Recipe

Makes 15 3/4 ounces


  • 15 3/4 oz dried apricots, finely diced
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 9 2/3 oz soft light brown sugar
  • 2 cups malt vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger pulp
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 2/3 oz sultanas
  • 2 cups water


1. Put all the ingredients into a medium saucepan and mix together thoroughly.
2. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring occassionally.
3. When the chutney has thickened to a fairly stiff consistency, transfer into 2 to 3 clean jam jars and leave to cool.
4. This chutney should be stored in the refrigerator.
