Makes 16 fritters



1. Sift dry ingredients.
2. Add milk and egg.
3. Beat well.
4. Peel and core apples and slice into rings about 1/2-inch thick.
5. Dip rings in batter and drop into skillet containing 1/2-inch of hot melted shortening.
6. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
7. Drain on paper towel.
8. Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle fritters.
