Holiday Eggnog Recipe

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs, separate
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 bottle beer
  • 1/4 cup brandy or bourbon
  • 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
  • Nutmeg


  • Instructions:

    1. Beat egg yolks with 1/4 cup sugar until very thick.
    2. Gradually stir in milk, beer, and brandy.
    3. Beat egg whites until foamy.
    4. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar, continuing beating until stiff peaks form.
    5. Fold whites into yolk-beer mixture.
    6. Chill.
    7. Just before serving, fold in whipped cream.
    8. Serve in small punch cups, sprinkled with nutmeg.
