Danish Cheese Filling Recipe


  • 2 pkgs crescent rolls
  • 2 8-oz pkgs cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk, save white


1. Line bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan by pressing together one package of crescent rolls.
2. Mix together cream cheese, sugar, yolks, and vanilla.
3. Spread over dough.
4. Top with remaining package of crescent rolls.
5. Whisk egg whites and brush over the tops.
6. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
7. When cool, you can top it with sifted powdered sugar, powdered sugar glaze, chocolate glaze, or fruit and whipped cream if desired.
