Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup plus 2 tbsp buttermilk


Instructions:

1. Sift flour with salt and baking soda.
2. Add beaten egg, buttermilk and butter.
3. Stir only until flour is moistened and batter is still lumpy.
4. Bake on lightly greased griddle , turning once, until brown on both sides.
5. Makes 16 to 18 cakes.
