Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe

Serves 8


  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tbsp butter or regular margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 oz baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped


1. Combine the sugar, salt, corn syrup, cooled chocolate, melted butter, eggs and vanilla in a bowl.
2. Beat until well blended, using an electric mixer set to medium speed.
3. Stir in the pecans and turn into the unbaked pie shell.
4. Bake in a 375 F oven for 35 minutes or until set. Pie will be puffy when it comes out of the oven and will sink while cooling.
5. Cool on a wire rack.
