Brandied Mocha Mousse Recipe

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate
  • 2/3 cup hot, strong, black coffee
  • 3 tbsp brandy
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 6 egg yolks, lightly beaten
  • 6 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • Whipped cream
  • Grated bittersweet chocolate


  • Instructions:

    1. Melt semisweet chocolate in the coffee. Add brandy. Remove from heat.
    2. Stir in butter and the egg yolks, one at a time.
    3. Fold in egg whites.
    4. Turn into 12 individual souffle or dessert dishes.
    5. Chill 5 hours.
    6. Top with whipped cream and grated bittersweet chocolate.
