Brandied Hot Chocolate Recipe
Serves 4 to 6 Ingredients: 1 square (1 oz) unsweetened chocolate, cut up
3 tbsp sugar
2 tsp instant coffee powder
Dash of salt
1/2 cup water
2 cups light cream
1 cup milk
1/3 cup brandy
Garnish:
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
Instructions: 1. In saucepan, combine chocolate, sugar, coffee powder, salt and water.
2. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate melts.
3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
4. Reduce heat and let simmer for 2 minutes.
5. Gradually stir in cream and milk.
6. Heat just to toiling.
7. Stir in brandy and pour into hot cups, mugs, or demitasse cups.Garnish with whipped cream.
