Alaska Sourdough Pancakes Recipe

Serves 16

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sponge
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder


Instructions:

1. Put starter in large bowl.
2. Add 2 cups flour and 2 cups milk.
3. Mix well and cover.
4. Leave in warm place overnight.
5. Next morning take out 1 cup starter.
6. Leave room temperature 12 hours.
7. To remaining sponge add 2 eggs, 1 tsp soda, 2 tb surgar, 1 ts salt, 2 tsp baking powder.
8. Mix well.
9. Cook on hot griddle.
10. For smaller mixture take out 2 cups starter and use 1/2 the ingredients.
