Linsen Pastry Recipe
Makes dough for 2 pies Ingredients: 1 lb butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
6 egg yolks
5 1/2 cup flour
1 pinch salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp lemon rind, grated
Instructions: 1. Mix like any pastry.
2. Add all ingredients in bowl.
3. Cut butter into mixture to make a dough.
4. Roll it out and cut into any shape.
5. Fill with jams, jellys or nut fillings, or top with egg whites beaten stiff. I normally make these into small filled pastries. I fill them with red raspberry jam or poppy seed filling, but I think they would be exceptional filled with peach pie filling!
