Breadmaker Doughnuts Recipe

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp dry milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
    Toppings:
  • 3 oz semi sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup blanched almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar



  • Instructions:

    1. Place first 6 ingredients inside the bread pan.
    2. Add water.
    3. Close cover and place dry yeast into the yeast holder.
    4. Select basic dough mode.
    5. Press start and wait until finished.
    6. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
    7. Roll each portion into a ball.
    8. Place on a lightly floured surface.
    9. Cover with a plastic wrap and let rest for 20 minutes.
    10. Shape each ball as desired, in a ring, twisted, or in an oval shape.
    11. Place on a greased baking pan.
    12. Proof at 90 F for 30 minutes or until nearly doubled.
    13. Deep fry the doughnuts in 360 F oil until golden brown.
    14. Let cool.
    15. Garnish with your choice of toppings. If desired, cut a hole on one end of doughnut and fill with jelly or your favorite filling.
